Kenzie 1st time....

I love it that New Orleans have a zoo and an aquarium. This was Kenzie 1st trip to the aquarium and I am pretty sure there will be alot more visit for her....she was taking it in so much. My kids always love it even if they just went the weekend before.

When was the last time u took ur kids to the aquarium?? Do u have an aquarium in ur town?

Last night....my group of girls had our "Girls Night Out" and we decided to go to Commander Palace.At the end of dinner we got to meet the Chef in the kitchen...that was the 1st for me....and I am pretty sure for alot of these girls too. We had such a great time then after we all hit Harrah's Masquerade. Thanks to these girls for making it such a memoriable night. Cant wait for the next "Girls Night Out"....

Rau Muong

today I made Rau Muong (a vietnamese veggie) stir fry w/ lots of garlic and shrimp and green onion....I season it w/ fish sauce and a pinch of sugar...that is it...oh so yummy....serve w/ rice

Honey Teriyaki Salmon

I got the salmon from Sam's

1 big piece of salmon

I pour honey all over the salmon until it gets coated very well then I pour teriyaki (kikkoman) over the salmon. Next I place it on a baking pan (remember to put some foil on the bottom--it make the cleanup so much easier) ...remember to spray it w/ some pam ...

Put in a 350 degree oven for about 15 minutes...then u turn the oven to broil (please keep a very close eye on it ---cuz u dont want to burn it) . At the end sprinkle some green onion over the top...

I serve it w/ cucumber but u can serve it w/ cracker. I also take some of the juice and pour over the salmon pieces to make it moist.

Shrimp pico de gallo

2 lbs of shrimp (boiled, peeled and cut into little pieces)

2 avocado cut into little cubes

1 bunch of cilantro dice

1 jalapeno dices ( if u dont like it spicy then take out the seeds)

1 big bottle of already made salsa (from Sam's) I used the whole bottle

2 Tablespoon of cocktail sauce

4 cloves of garlic (diced)

2 green scallion cut into little pieces

1 teaspoon of sugar

salt n pepper to taste

served w/ chips

if u like it to be more spicy then add more jalapeno...

A New Start....

Many of my friends from facebook has asked me to start a blog about my food ...so after much thought I have decided to add food /recipe to my blog along with what I do everyday. I am also gonna try to blog everyday...so here goes....

I was suppose to take the kids today to the zoo so I invited my friend, Anessa and her little girl...Kenzie, w/ us. So we got up early and got ready...ate breakfast and we went get our daily fix of starbucks. But when we arrived at the zoo...I notice only a few cars then when we were walking up to the gate I realized that it was closed.....then it hit me that ....the zoo is closed on MONDAY....what a disappointment.....

So we headed to Semolina instead for lunch and then to target for some little shopping therapy...

Thanks Anessa for lunch and a great time at TARGET....we found some great things at TARGET...

My sister in law and her kids came down for the weekend so we decided to take the kids to the aquarium...we have been wanting to take them for a long time but just could never find the time. I am so happy that we finally got a chance to go....I hope we make this a regular thing. Then after we went back to my house and had SHOGUN sushi and a cake that I bought from Parrot Pete for Collin's bday....Thanks for a great time....Hope to see u guys soon...maybe next time we can make it to the ZOO....

On Saturday Night we celebrated Mike's bday at my house. We had such a great time laughing and just hanging out. We started the party very late at 8:30 pm so it was a long night....

We had bar b q ribs, shrimp pasta, salmon, shrimp salsa, mango salad, chao and cake....and lots of VERDI...

I hope everyone had a great saturday night ....because I surely did. See u guys again next saturday....

Thomas & friends circus...

On wednesday we went to see Thomas & friends at the UNO arena....the kids had such a great time...Ethan was loving every minute of it....

Viva Las Vegas...

We had a wedding to attend to in Vegas so we decided to make it a mini vacation for the family. We stayed at MGM signature ....it was so nice and beautiful.

We went to the Shark Reef aquirium and the M& M factory for the kids and the rest of the time we just hung out at the pool or stuffed our face.

The wedding was beautiful and it gave us a chance to catch up w/ family....

Ted's 41st bday

For Ted's Bday this year we got a chance to go out to a nice restaurant w/o the kids. My wonderful sister baby-sat my 2 little monkeys so that I can take Ted out for a yummy dinner...we went to Ralph's on the Park....Ted wanted to eat somewhere near the house just in case........................
